CODE OF ETHICS AVANT Stoneware Factory

 

The mission

 

AVANT is a brand of functional ceramics, designed with special emphasis on the advertising industry. We want our activities to result in beautiful products/objects for everyday use, well-thought-out in every respect. They work well as gifts and at the same time can be an advertising medium – helping our customers achieve success.

 

Avant Fabryka Porcelitu makes every effort to maintain ethical standards at every stage of its activity and in relations with business partners, competitors and employees. The purpose of the Avant Code of Ethics is to promote and strengthen conduct that affects the positive image of the company, the Code contains provisions that support employees in making responsible decisions in relations with co-workers and with the micro and macro environment.

 

  1. Commitment of Avant Stoneware Factory

 

Avant undertakes to meet the highest ethical standards at every stage of activity, both in business ventures towards contractors, competitors and co-workers. The AVANT Code of Ethics has been developed to record the rules regarding professional duties, business activities and business contacts. The provisions of the code apply to all AVANT employees. The employer feels responsible for complying with them in relation to employees and co-workers in order to effectively protect their rights. The provisions of the Code of Ethics apply to all employees and associates of AVANT. Employees and associates are also obliged to comply with the provisions of Polish law.

  1. Honesty with people outside the company

 

Remember to treat your suppliers, competitors, customers and guests the way you want to be treated. Let’s treat them honestly and with respect. Let’s act in such a way that the problem of our customers is solved as soon as possible. This affects our relationship with the customer. Employees of Avant are obliged to:

  • Reliable information about the product and terms of cooperation with AVANT
  • Fair choice of supplier and recipient, based on the analysis of the terms of cooperation and the best price
  • Treatment of people from outside the company with full respect (customers, suppliers, competitors)
  • Fair treatment of people from outside the company, without violating the good property of a given person.

 

An employee and co-worker is obliged to:

  • ensure that any comparisons with competitors, their products or services are always reasonable and true, and do not mislead
  • take the necessary measures to prevent the occurrence of inappropriate behavior on the part of Avant employees towards persons outside the company, eg customers, suppliers and competitors, as soon as possible.

 

 

  1. Norms of behavior in the company

 

Remember that our work is evaluated by our clients, so let’s try to make our work accurate and at the highest level. Let’s work as a team, we strive for the same goals in the company. By joining forces, we can do more, better, faster. We are fully responsible for our work, remember that even the smallest mistake can cost the company a lot. In crisis situations, we react quickly, we do not hesitate to inform the customer or supervisor about problems.

  1. Honesty and confidentiality

 

We are fair to Avant and we adhere to our privacy practices.

 

An employee or co-worker is not allowed to:

  • Disclose confidential information relating to production processes, databases or marketing activities to third parties.
  • Provide false statements of work performed or cause unnecessary or excessive costs in the performance of one’s duties,

 

  1. Corruption

 

Our relationships with business partners, officials and others are based on our performance, credibility and the quality of our products and services. We never influence decision-makers through illegal financing, gifts or favors.

 

Employees and associates are prohibited from: – bribing customers, potential customers, public officials or other persons in order to obtain a favourable decision or to obtain confidential information – offering bribes to an intermediary or decision-maker who works for a (potential) business partner in order to influence his decision.

 

Every employee and associate may – give small and customary gifts in a given country to partners or their associates, as well as to other persons, e.g. on the occasion of the performance of a contract and/or as an expression of courtesy, provided this does not violate the regulations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Accepting gifts, invitations and other benefits

 

Let us remember that our actions should be based on honest behavior. Let us not allow ourselves to be influenced by gifts, invitations or other benefits. In case of doubt, we refer to our superior.

Employees and co-workers are not allowed to: – accept gifts or other benefits if they are intended to obtain benefits related to their professional activity for AVANT or if they create the impression that they affect the professional relationship between AVANT and the person giving the gift – accept gifts or other benefits if the value of such gifts exceeds the customary standards in a given country. If it is inappropriate to refuse a gift or an offered benefit, the recipient should give them to the company where they are employed – accept gifts or other benefits if such gifts cast doubt on the objectivity of the employee’s actions for AVANT.

Every employee and associate may accept symbolic gifts, invitations and other benefits as well as promotional gifts or discounts.

  1. Conflict of interest

 

An employee is not allowed to:

  • Publicly create a negative image of the company
  • Use your position at AVANT or company resources to obtain personal benefits
  • represent AVANT companies in business ventures that could lead to personal benefits for the employee or his/her relatives

 

In the event of a conflict of interest, every employee and collaborator is obliged to:

  • immediately discuss the conflict with your supervisor or another competent employee of the company
  • immediately notify your superior about any conflict that has occurred
  • use all possible means to resolve or avoid conflicts of interest.

 

We strive to fulfill our obligations to the company loyally and honestly. We avoid situations that may lead to a conflict of interest between us and AVANT.

 

  1. Discrimination, mobbing, harassment

 

Let’s remember that relations in our company should be based on respect. Behaviors such as harassment, violence or mobbing are unacceptable, if we notice such behaviors, let’s report it to the supervisor immediately. Let’s also remember about tolerance and understanding, not every behavior is a manifestation of discrimination, it may just be an ill-considered joke.

Every employee and collaborator of AVANT has the right to fair and non-discriminatory treatment, regardless of position in the company. Similar principles apply to relations with persons not employed by the company.

 

  1. Employee responsibility

 

All employees and collaborators of the AVANT factory are obliged to comply with the ethical principles set out in the Code.

Employees and associates are required to report to their superior any violation of the Code and any significant circumstance that relates to the principles contained therein. In the event that an employee has important reasons to bypass their superior, they should report to the owner of the company.

A report of a breach of the Code may be submitted anonymously and with a guarantee of confidentiality of information. It is obvious that an employee or co-worker who reports a breach of the Code in good faith will not face any sanctions.

  1. Natural environment

 

The AVANT factory makes every effort to care for the natural environment. The management staff and employees are obliged to:

  • Rational use of raw materials for production
  • Waste segregation
  • Full use of heat generated from firing furnaces to heat the factory premises
  • Processing of raw materials from production waste
  • Preventing contamination of the environment with toxic and hazardous substances.
  1. Workplace Safety

 

AVANT employees are required to comply with occupational health and safety regulations and to report accidents occurring during work without delay. Employees are also required to report any deterioration in work comfort in order to improve working conditions.

 

  1. Supervision

Katarzyna Bujanowicz is the person authorized by the AVANT management board to comply with the Code and is obliged to monitor and control compliance with the principles set out in the AVANT Code of Ethics.

 

  1. Sanctions

 

In the event of a breach of the Code of Ethics by an employee or co-worker, the employer has the right to impose consequences. The type and extent of the sanction will depend on the degree of the breach of the Code, as well as on the type of mutual legal obligations between employer and employee.
