AVANT PORCELITE FACTORY JERZY BUJANOWICZ has received funding from the European Union for the implementation of the project entitled “Digitization of production processes in Avant Porcelite Factory Jerzy Bujanowicz towards Industry 4.0” under Measure 2.4 Digitization of Lublin SMEs, Priority II Economic and Digital Transformation of the Region, European Funds for Lublin 2021-2027 Program.

The project aims to build a dedicated ERP and MES IT solution, automating the flow of information combining commercial and production activities in the company.

As part of the project, the purchase of intangible assets, fixed assets, implementation services of specialized digital solutions and training services is envisaged.

The implementation of specialized digital solutions will enable the recording of all production events in real time. Traditional processes of information exchange and cooperation in the production process between the company’s departments and individual machining stations will be digitized and will be carried out with the use of digital devices such as production kiosks, tablets, barcode scanners. As part of the project, an enterprise-scale innovation will be implemented consisting in the implementation of a web application of the offer configurator. It will allow customers to customize the product to their needs and preferences. Thanks to the configurator, customers will also be able to see exactly what their order will look like before making a purchase. An important effect of the project will also be an increase in the security of the company’s data through the use of IT solutions in this area – the implementation of a UTM class cybersecurity system. The project also includes improving employee competencies by conducting a training service aimed at preparing employees to use the new solution.

The effects of the project will be used by employees working in the following departments of the company: design, sales, production, warehouse, because in these areas IT systems will be implemented and business processes will be improved, as well as institutional and individual customers using the web product configurator.

Project title: “Analysis of AVANT PORCELITE FACTORY JERZY BUJANOWICZ in terms of potential and design needs”

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT:

Increasing the potential of AVANT PORCELITE FACTORY JERZY BUJANOWICZ by using the design design process.

 

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT:

1. Conducting a design audit and defining design problems concerning, m.in: the company’s offer, organizational structure, communication processes, marketing strategy, business model, customer and competition characteristics, and market trends.

2. Development of a design strategy containing recommendations for further detailed actions along with an initial cost estimate.

 

PLANNED EFFECTS OF THE PROJECT:

FACTUAL:

1/ Defining design problems in the company concerning:

• the products offered as well as plans related to expanding the assortment,

•introducing products to new markets,

• the company’s marketing strategy,

• contacts with customers.

2/ Determining the importance and hierarchy of importance of each of the identified problems, indicating priority issues that need to be solved urgently.

3/ Indicating the possibility of solving the above-mentioned problems, giving priority to those that have the greatest potential on the market.

4/ Distinguishing the Applicant’s products from the competitors’ offer, adapting the products to the requirements of customers and market niches.

5/ Increase in the company’s brand recognition and increase in sales.

Project title: “Increasing the competitiveness of AVANT PORCELITE FACTORY JERZY BUJANOWICZ through the implementation of a design strategy”

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT:

The overarching goal of the project is to increase the competitiveness of the Avant Porcelain Factory through the use of design as a source of innovation.

 

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT:

1. Implementation of ORGANIZATIONAL innovation: development of the Avant Technology Book, implementation of the CRM system

2. Implementation of MARKETING innovation: development of comprehensive and consistent visual communication

3. Implementation of PRODUCT innovations, including:

a) An innovative mug with a sentimental cut with unique features, a reference to emotions, the past and related values of “Polish vintage”.

b) An innovative ceramic mug + other material, e.g. porcelain with cork, wood, resin, silicone, concrete and others.

c) An innovative cup made of colored mass – a “PREMIUM” product in the company’s offer.

d) Production of the product from raw materials from ceramic waste – “reused”

4. Increase in the company’s revenues, including from export activities.

5. Acquisition of new, foreign markets.

 

PLANNED EFFECTS OF THE PROJECT:

FACTUAL:

– Acquisition of fixed assets other than real estate, related to the implementation of product innovation,

– Purchase of consulting services related to the implementation of the design strategy;

– Acquisition of intangible assets (intellectual property rights) related to the implementation of product innovation;

– Introduction of innovative products to the market.

 

FINANCIAL:

– Revenue growth.

– Reduction of production costs for new products.

– Profit optimization.

 

OTHER:

– Initiating activities related to professional industrial design in the company.

– Increase Avant’s competitiveness through the use of design.
