Avant Fabryka Porcelitu with its registered office in Niedrzwica Kościelna, makes every effort to fulfill orders for its customers in a responsible manner in the field of human rights, environmental protection within the entire supply chain.

Avant Porcelite Factory pays special attention to human rights, working conditions, corruption prevention, environmental protection and commercial terms of cooperation with a given contractor. The key aspect is the quality and timeliness of the raw materials and services provided.

This “Supplier Code of Conduct” (hereinafter referred to as the “Code”) sets out the requirements for all Avant Factory Suppliers. Supplier undertakes to comply with the principles and requirements of this Code and to encourage its Suppliers and/or subcontractors to comply with the standards and regulations set forth in the Code.

 

The supplier is obliged to:

Prevent bribery and corruption

The Anti-Corruption Policy of the Avant Factory obliges business partners and suppliers to act with integrity without any intention or activity related to corruption and to comply with the following principles:

  • not to offer or give any financial or other benefit,
  • to cooperate with our company in the elimination of corrupt behavior,
  • to ensure that relations with public officials, private persons and other entrepreneurs are open and transparent so that exclude the possibility of corruption allegations and threats
  • avoiding conflicts of interest that could lead to the risk of corruption

 Confidentiality, privacy and data protection

We expect providers to protect sensitive information. The supplier is obliged to provide appropriate systems to ensure the protection of personal data and information covered by trade secrets. The supplier must be aware that Avant Fabryka Porcelitu is obliged to comply with the provisions of the GDPR, as well as the protection of trade secrets. Suppliers must be aware of the fact that unauthorized use or disclosure of this type of information may lead to personal, legal, reputational and financial consequences for the supplier itself, the data subjects of the said personal data.

Labour and human rights

The Avant factory commits its suppliers to respect the human rights of their employees and obliges them to take care of and comply with these rights. Each employee of the supplier, regardless of the form of employment, regardless of the position held, is obliged to read this policy, comply with its principles during the performance of work or perform a specific function, as well as to inform about situations violating human rights.

In particular, the Supplier is obliged to:

  • Respect international human rights regulations and exercise due diligence in relation to human rights, eliminating negative impacts on these rights.
  • Provide equal opportunities to all employees and not discriminate against anyone on the basis of ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, religious or political beliefs, or other similar characteristics. This applies to both interactions within the company and with business partners. Avant Factory expects Supplier to promote equal opportunities and prevent discrimination in recruitment, promotion, training or other educational activities. In particular, the term discrimination refers to receiving different amounts of remuneration for the same work.
  • Not tolerate physical, psychological, verbal or sexual harassment or abuse of employees.
  • Compliance with the prohibition of child labour, in particular the prohibition of employing children under the age at which compulsory schooling ends in accordance with the law in force in the place of employment, and not employing employees under the age of 15 (in accordance with the International Labour Organisation Convention No. 138 on child labour).
  • Ensure that the employment of young people above the minimum age, but under 18, does not jeopardise their education, health, safety or morals.
  • Comply with the prohibition of forced labour, any form of slavery, slavery-like practices, enslavement or oppression in the workplace, including the retention of passports or other documents from employees.
  • Adhere to ethical recruitment policies and ensure that any recruitment agency acting on behalf of the Supplier does the same. Employees must receive written employment contracts, and no recruitment fees may be charged.
  • Respect the right of workers to associate, form and join (or not join) trade unions and to conduct collective bargaining.
  • Pay workers at least the statutory minimum wage and recognise their right to adequate remuneration.
  • Set reasonable working hours in accordance with applicable laws and collective agreements. Overtime work must be voluntary, unless collective agreements or similar agreements allow for exceptions.
  • Ensure that all employees are granted at least 24 consecutive hours of rest in each seven-day period, unless national regulations binding on individual Suppliers provide for more favourable conditions in this respect.
  • Allow employees to freely come and leave the workplace and any accommodation provided by the Supplier.
  • Comply with all applicable laws applicable to the contractual relationship in question.
  • Provide its employees and business partners, as well as other stakeholders, with access to grievance mechanisms to confidentially and/or anonymously report information regarding potential misconduct in connection with the requirements of this Code. The provider must also have procedures in place to deal with these complaints and address confirmed cases.

 

Health and safety at work In particular, the Supplier is obliged to:

  • Comply with all health and safety requirements applicable to Supplier under law and provide a safe and healthy working environment for employees and visitors to the organisation. All accommodation provided by the Supplier must be safe, comfortable and hygienic.
  • Designate a person responsible for occupational health and safety in the organization.
  • Take the necessary steps – including appropriate monitoring, procedures, labour inspections, contingency plans and the provision of safety equipment – to prevent workplace hazards and accidents.
  • Monitor and record performance and risks related to occupational safety and health (OHS), as well as report and investigate all OSH incidents.
  • Ensure that staff receive appropriate health and safety training, make every effort to raise health and safety awareness among their employees and subcontractors, and ensure a culture of safety through transparent communication.

 

 

Environmental protection

In particular, the Supplier is obliged to:

  • Comply with applicable environmental regulations. The supplier ensures that all environmental permits have been obtained and are up-to-date, and that all requirements in this regard are complied with by his company.
  • Efficient use of resources and ensuring appropriate monitoring of activities to minimize negative impact on the environment. Depending on the industry, regular monitoring of activities must be carried out with regard to harmful emissions, consumption of energy, water and raw materials, generated wastewater and pollutants, as well as storage and handling of chemicals, hazardous materials and waste.
  • Actively monitor greenhouse gas emissions resulting from the Supplier’s activities, comply with all reporting obligations related to emissions, strive to reduce these emissions.
  • Strive to promote and improve the circular economy in their business models, product design and operations.
  • Proactively prevent incidents that harm the environment and ensure that appropriate preventive and corrective actions can be taken to adequately respond to such incidents.
  • Provide – to the extent appropriate – environmental performance data as a basis for environmental impact assessments, product life cycle assessments and/or product declarations and labels, upon request of the Avant Stoneware Factory.
